Wednesday October 5th - Sunday October 9th 2005 .
 

I finished work at 7am on Monday morning, and was planning on having a few hours sleep, and then head up to NSW by about 3pm. Things didnt quite go to plan, considering I didnt wake up till 4:30pm. I packed a few bags, and finally headed out just after 7pm. The Trip up was pretty non eventfull, and I finally arrived in Sydney at my sisters house at about 5am.

Tuesday Midday, I woke up again, and decided to catch up with some friends instead of heading straight out to Bathurst.

Wednesday 4am, I FINALLY head out to Bathurst. Didnt take long to go the accreditation pick up my passes, and set up my camp site.
I made my way down to scrutineering, and was assinged to the V8 Team, to check drivers apparel.

Was an interesting day, catching up with a lot of the drivers, at one point I had Greg Ritter crawling around on his hands and knee's getting out the apparel for him, and Brighty and showing it to myself and Leslie the other scrutineer checking apparel with me.

By the end of the day, I was tired, sunburnt, and very much in need of a good sleep.

Thursday I was back on the V8 Team, and had a good time, even though I did end up spending more money than I had planned buying 888 merchandise.

By Friday, it was freezing, and I was transferred over to the Lotus Team. By night, it was really cold, and we headed into town to the pub to have a hot dinner. Was a good night even though I went in a crewman (hehe).

Saturday was very wet. The mud in the camp site was pretty bad, and even the area were the lotuses were was a mud pit. I was surprised that none of the cars didnt get bogged.

Sunday morning - the day of the big race. I was assinged to the Team Australia / WPS team. I grabbed a chair, and headed over to sit down and watch the action. The guys in the team were good, and gave me a table to use, that was right near one of there big screen TV's.

By the time the race was over, I think most ford fans were disapointed, so I had a quick bite to eat before heading back to my sisters place in Sydney.

Even though I got sun burnt, I froze, I got the flu, mud all over everything, and a dissapointing result, I had a great time, and cant wait to get out there next year.
