Ford 1st, 2nd, 3rd !! WOOHOO!! That result really makes the whole day worth it.

I was up at 5am this morning. I left home just before 6 to head over to Eastern Creek. I was supposed to meet up with the FPV - Tickford club of NSW at the Pit Stop cafe, but I was about 5 mins late.

I arrived to find the guys setting up 2 very large tents for the club members to sit under. (thanks to a very kind member who donated them to the club.) We all settled down to watch the action, and trying not to freeze to death at the same time. I ended up wrapping myself in a blanket and I was still cold.

"XRChick" from Victoria came by to say hello, and ended up sitting with us to watch the race. (I wonder if she bought the weather up with her?? hehe).

I saw the little aussie race cars for the first time live in action, and I LOVE EM!!. They are so cool. They don't quite have the sound, but they are just as cool as the V8's. MG racing was interesting too. saw some very (and I mean VERY) near misses.

Then the big boys hit the track, and ford dominated the race, right through to the end. It was a see of blue when they won 1st, 2nd, 3rd! Everyone was cheering and waving flags, and jumping up and down. Even a club members 3 year old daughter (complete in FPR race suit) was jumping up and down cheering with the biggest grin on her face.

I decided to stay a while after the race, to try and avoid the traffic. I ended up going past the merchandising stands, and buying another ford racing t shirt. On my way out, I noticed 2 suspicious looking people standing in front of my car, trying to read the sticker. When they looked up I recognised them as "F@Z" and "Grudge" from LS1 Forums . Spoke to them for a little bit, before the freezing weather forced me back into the car, so I headed home.
