Finally I got a chance to get out to the drags again. I have been  dying to get back out there eversice the engine rebuild was done.

Matt and I got out there just before 4:30. Matt got through scruiteneering with no probs. The guys wanted to go over my car a bit more thouroughly though. (I guess the bright red manifold makes it looks faster??!!??)

My first run was against Matt. 
I got a 15.3 @ unknown kph (the ticket says 4.94 kph - I am sure I was going faster than that!) reaction time was a bit slow... only 0.811
Matt got a 16.8 @ 133 kph. Reaction time - 0.698. He was a bit upset about that run cos it took 3 attempts to find 3rd gear.

 I dropped my tyre pressure at the next run. (Also against matt)
Got a 15.3 @ 146 kph. Reaction time - 0.626
Matt got a 16.0 @ 139 kph. Reaction time - 0.650
Another win for me!!

3rd run of the night (matt again)
ot a 15.2 @ 146 kph. Reaction time - 0.867
Matt got a 16.7 @ 136 kph. reaction time - 0.521 (He missed 2nd that time!)

4th run (matt again) was my fave race of the night.
Got off to a slow start with a 0.743 reaction, Matt got a 0.481.
Was even with him until I changed to 2nd.... CRUNCH. Missed 2nd gear.... lets try that again.... By this time he is 3 car lengths ahead. 
I was catching up REAL quick by the time I hit 3rd. 
Matt won the race with a 16.1 @ 138 kph. I was only 0.051 secs behind with a 15.9 @ 143 kph. 
Matt was happy - he finally won a race! (even though I ran a quicker time than him)

Next race (Matt again)
I got a 15.4 @ 146 kph. Reaction time 0.676
Matt fouled. got a 16.0 @ 137 kph. Reaction time 0.398!!!

At 8:05 Matt and I where up for our 6th run.
I got a 15.5 @ 146 kph - Reaction time 0.435
Matt got a 16.0 @ 140 kph - reaction time 0.567

Next race I was up against a Blue Nissan. I knew I was gonna lose and sent an sms to a friend while I was in the staging area..."watch me get my ass kicked"
I got a 15.4 @ 146 kph. Reaction time  0.569
The nissan got a 14.9 @ 145 kph. Reaction time 0.748
Matt's EF XR8
at 9:03 I was up for my 8th race. When I saw who I was up against. ( a white rotary with slicks and a wheely bar at the back) I knew I was up for another loss.
I got a good reaction time of 0.426 but again I stuffed 2nd gear and only managed a 16.1 @ 143kph.
The rotary got a 9.5 @ 230 kph !!!!

My last race was against Matt again. (after 2 losses I needed a confidence boost)
got a 15.5 @ 146 kph. Reaction time was 0.649
Matt got a 16.0 @ 139 kph. Reaction time was 0.466

I had some fun. But I think I need to get a tune up, and also dump the spare tyre (and also turn up on less than a 3/4 full tank) for my next run.
Hopefully I should get a flat 15 next time.
