Wednesday March 20th 2002. 

I haven't been to the off street drags since last year, and with my new mods, I was really keen to get out there and have a run.

I arrived at 4pm, but had to wait till 4:30 to go into registration. (I was waiting for my pit crew - "EB ON NOS"). I got through scruiteneering pretty quickly, and then lined up for a run. 

My first run was against the red car in the 2nd pic below. I knew I stuffed it up, when I changed to 2nd. (I changed at 4500 grrrr). I won the race, but I didn't get a 14. :-(

2nd race was a little better. But still no 14.

After the 2nd race, my "pit crew" (EB ON NOS, Cuza24 and WagonMan) put a set of slicks on my car. 

I had never ever used slicks before, and was not sure exactly what to do. After getting some quick hints from a few people, I went round to the staging lanes, and got ready to have my run. I revved it up to 3500, dropped the clutch, bogged down BIG TIME, and then missed 2nd gear. When I got my time slip - I saw my reaction time was .666 .... I guess I was never gonna get a good run with that!

Next run - I guess I was a little over anxious, and fouled.

Last run of the night... held it at 4000, dropped the clutch, bogged down still, but finally managed a 14 sec pass!!! WOOHOO for me!!
