Holden Ford Supershow.
Exhibition center, Homebush.

Saturday August 31st, and Sunday September 1st.

.After setting up the Tickford club display on the Friday night, I got very little sleep before going back down to the exhibition center on Saturday morning for the opening of the show.

There was an awesome range of cars there. From mustangs, to monaro's, tickfords to HSV's, hotrods to Gemini's, and even a new BA XR6. The Tickford club had 8 cars at the show all up, but only 6 of them within the Tickford club display (2 club members had separate displays).

Vince (aka YLOOOZ) was there with his brand new 20" rims (they are HUGE!!!), Anestis had his TS50 there, the club President had his dad's new blueprint XR6 on display, Aaron had his stunning red EB XR8 looking shinier than ever, Mr. Plow, MissXR, and Mitchell (go the neon valve caps) and myself made up the club display.

During the day I had to register for the dyno comp. They came over to do a fuel test on my car (and Mitchell's car) to make sure we were running standard pump fuel. It wasn't long after that, that we had to move our cars over to the dyno area to wait for our turn. Queued up in front of us were a AU XR8 ute, a TS50 and a turbo ED XR6 (who was recently featured in Zoom magazine). By the time they got to Mitchell's car, I was really nervous, and pacing all over the place. Then it was my turn to put my baby inside the cage, and see what she's got in front of a huge crowd of people. I got to sit in the passenger seat why the car was on the dyno (this was the first time ever I have been in a car when it was on a dyno). I had my fingers crossed that I would get more than 219 (I wanted to beat the TS50). First run - 237 !! (woohoo!!!) The dyno operator asked if I was happy with that... I said - give her one more go. 2nd run - 240.1 !! (YIPPEE!!) I had the biggest grin after that.

After putting my car back with the club display, we locked things away before heading home for the night.

Sunday morning, back at the show again. We arrived to find a couple of trophies near the cars. Aaron won "Best Tickford", Vince won "2nd place Best post 1980 model ford", and Anestis won "Best T Series", and "1st place Best post 1980 model ford".

The day was really busy. Thousands of people were there. I wasn't really expecting it to be that busy (it was fathers day). I saw quite a few people I hadn't seen in a long time. By 6pm, I was almost falling asleep. I wondered over to speak to "WLDWGN" for a bit, and when I returned to my car, there was a trophy next to it. I had won the dyno comp - "Normally Aspirated V8 Ford" class ! Mitchell won "Normally Aspirated 6cyl Ford" class. Not a bad effort!! 2 club cars enter dyno comp, and both take out 1st place in there classes!! I was so excited after that.. I was running all over the place showing everyone the trophy. I got home just before 7pm, and didn't last to long before I fell asleep.
