Saturday April 27th 2002. 

Well, with the T5 on the way out (a little too much punishment at the drags) I contacted Mal Wood in QLD, and spoke to him about getting a T56 kit for my car.

It took about a week for all the parts to arrive (gearbox, cross member, tailshaft, electronic speedo adjustor, clutch cable etc etc)

On Saturday at Midday I took my car down to my mechanics workshop, and Mick (my mechanic), "EBXR8240", Jamie and myself started working on the conversion.

The conversion was not as easy as we had hoped. But luckily a few quick calls to Ben from Mal Woods helped sort out our little problems, and at Midnight I drove out of the workshop and went for a little cruise to test out my new 6th gear.
