Have you got a spare $50 and 20 minutes to kill?? This mod is so easy - that even I can do it !!

You will need the following

1 x 8mm spanner
1 x Phillips head screw driver
1 pair of clear front indicators (I purchased mine on Ebay for $40)
1 pair of orange globes (if not supplied with the indicators)

 

Step 1

Get your EA - ED Falcon

(My ED Fairmont is pictured)

Step 2

Pop the bonnet, and just above the headlights there are 2 x 8mm bolts. Unscrew them with your 8mm spanner.

Step 3

There is a 3rd bolt that you need to undo.

This bolt is behind the headlight, in front of the battery. You don't need to do it all the way - just a few turns, and the headlight clip should slide out from under it.

Step 4

Now that the headlights are out, get your Phillips head screw driver, and undo the 3 screws that hold the original indicator to the headlight.

Step 5

As you remove your original indicator, unplug the connection where the light goes into.

Step 6

Now get your new clear front indicator, out of its box, and ready to install.

Step 7

Using the 3 screw's you took out of the original indicator - screw your new indicator in.

Step 8

Plug the wiring into the indicator, and test it to make sure its working.

(Also test your headlights just in case!!)

Step 9

Now that you have confirmed the indicator and headlights work - put them back into place.

Step 10

Now its time to work on the other side!!

Using your 8mm spanner - undo the 2 bolts from the top of the headlights.

Step 11

The 3rd bolt is behind the headlight, in front of the air filter.

Step 12

Repeat step 4 and 5 (unscrew the original light, and disconnect the wiring)

Now its time to screw in the new lens.

Here you can see the 3 screw holes.

Step 13

Plug the wiring into the new indicator.

Step 14

Test the headlight and indicator to make sure they still work!!

Step 15

Put the headlights back into the car, and screw them back into place.

 

Now you have a sexier looking EA - ED Falcon!!
